In terms of materiality of wood and metal, it is kind of reversed relationship. To wood, we mainly use “cutting”. As for metal, we use “adding” instead. The wooden tree actually is come from natural world. But after processing the tree trunk, it looks like an artifact. However, the metal piece is trying to imitate the natural tree branches. The similarity and mirroring relationship between two trees with different material created an interesting effect.
